	BNI Opportunity! In our area, only a few members from your business category will be able to join a chapter this year. In fact, you will see some visitors who wish they could be members of a chapter, but their category is already filled in that chapter. If you are in one of these business categories, you might want to consider starting a new BNI chapter today!

Didn’t see a chapter with your professional category open? Didn’t have a chapter close to your location? Have a group of business associates and colleagues? All of these are good reasons to look into creating a new BNI chapter!

Guidelines of Membership

Networking requires commitment. The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of participants who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team. As a participant in BNI, you are responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines of the organization. A partial list of the policies of BNI are listed below:

• Only one person from each professional classification is permitted to join a chapter of BNI.
• All participants should represent their primary occupation product, service or function.
• Attendance is critical. If you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute or visitor. This will not count as an absence.
• Participants are required to bring bona-fide referrals and/or visitors to their chapter of BNI.
• Members are required to attend the new member orientation known as the Member Success Program (MSP) within 60 days of becoming a member.
